The second edition of R.U.A
On June 16 Caramundo starts the second edition of R.U.A. – Reflexo on Urban Art in Amsterdam with a kick off during Nuit Blanche. Under the charming view of Claudio Ethos' painting at the Foeliedwarsstraat 40, the R.U.A. team will present the project with a videa and give the audience the opportunity to meet and greet some of the artists.
R.U.A. ECLECTIC BOOTY BASH Brazilian Style
On September 30, Caramundo organizes a smashing R.U.A. party in Toko MC, Westergasfabriekterrein, Amsterdam. This party announces the start of the second edition of R.U.A. in Amsterdam! Toko MC will be filled with sexy groovy Brazilian tunes played by DJ Paulão (Brasil-SP), Selektor Depender, DJ Eindbaas and ZickZack Soundsystem. The wheater is hot, the party gonna be as hot! Be there!
R.U.A. Amsterdam - Streetart and Graffiti Expert Meeting
On Tuesday September 27th, Caramundo organizes an Expert Meeting in NoLIMIT Amsterdam Zuidoost. With this meeting Caramundo wants to create a dialogue about the possibilities and positive influences of street art and graffiti in a city environment, and demonstrate how other cities in the world already integrate street art in their urban planning. In Brazil, graffiti and street art are used to uplift neglected urban areas and stimulate safety in those areas by involving local residents and by stimulating creativity. In the Netherlands it seems that we can learn from these Brazilian experiences.
Favela Football for Hope
Radio Netherlands Worldwide reporter Theo Tamis recently accompanied the Dutch soccer team on a trip to Brazil. Curious about the current situation in Brazil - now preparing for the World Cup in 2014, he also paid a visit to Morro do Queto and the soccerfield of Sampaio.
